Claim: The Anglo-Saxon concept of fate — the word that named modern pagan wyrd spirituality. Exhibit: Fate Is Wholly Fixed — The Exeter Book's exile opens his elegy with the coldest sentence in Old English: 'Wyrd bið ful ārǣd' — fate is wholly fixed, fully resolved, past all appeal.
Verdict: survives scrutiny. The myth and the trade do the same work.

Claim: Wyrd is the pattern that becomes; the oldest name for the dataset that shapes the future. Exhibit: Fate Goes as She Must — Beowulf speaks the word at every threshold.
Verdict: holds under load. The correspondence is functional, not decorative.
Seat 3: Mental Health & Emotional Wellness
Claim: Accepting wyrd is the northern discipline of meeting what cannot be changed. Exhibit: Fate Is Strongest — The proverb tradition keeps the word's power in its bluntest form.
Verdict: survives scrutiny. The myth and the trade do the same work.
The Control Group
Against the seats that survived, one control: the temple's own summary of its figure — Wyrd has no mythology in the usual sense — no birth, no hall, no marriage — because Wyrd is not a figure but the Old English word for fate itself. The seats do not drift far from it. That is the audit's cleanest result.
The Method, Stated Plainly
