PUNICODEX Student Creator Program
Effective Date: July 23, 2026The Marketplace is open exclusively to verified student accounts. Every Creator must hold an account whose student status has been verified through their Sponsored Institution before uploading Works.
Eligibility is governed by two institutional controls, both of which must be satisfied:
If a sponsorship lapses or a student is removed from the Department Allowlist (for example, on graduation or withdrawal), the affected Creator may no longer upload new Works. Works already listed remain governed by these Terms unless withdrawn under Section 4.3.
Creators must be 18 years of age or older. Students under 18 may participate only with guardian consent verified by their Sponsored Institution, administered by the university through its own consent and enrolment processes. PUNICODEX relies on the institution's verification and does not independently collect guardian consent records.
Creators may upload original, myth-inspired artwork. Works should engage with the mythological, linguistic, and pantheon themes of the PUNICODEX lexicon. Uploaded Works are exhibited in the Marketplace with attribution to the Creator and, where applicable, their institution and department.
All Works pass through moderation before listing. PUNICODEX enforces a moderation blocklist covering, among other things, third-party trademarks, confusable brand imitations, and prohibited content. Works that trip the blocklist or fail review are not listed; repeated attempts to upload prohibited material may result in account suspension.
PUNICODEX may delist any Work at its discretion, including in response to third-party rights claims, blocklist updates, quality standards, or changes in institutional sponsorship status. Where practicable, the Creator will be notified of the reason. Delisting stops new sales of the Work; accrued Creator Share on completed sales remains payable.
Creators retain full copyright in their Works. Nothing in these Terms assigns or transfers ownership of a Work to PUNICODEX, to a Buyer, or to any other party.
Merch Consent is strictly opt-in: the consent checkbox is unchecked by default for every Work, and no Work is printed on merchandise without it. By granting Merch Consent for a Work, the Creator grants PUNICODEX a non-exclusive, worldwide, sublicensable license to:
in each case for as long as the Work remains listed with Merch Consent active. Sublicensing is limited to what is required to operate the fulfilment chain (for example, licensing the fulfilment partner to print the Work on ordered Products).
Merch Consent may be withdrawn at any time from the creator dashboard. Withdrawal stops new sales of the affected Work within a commercially reasonable period (catalogue removal, mockup retirement, and fulfilment-cache clearance are not instantaneous). Withdrawal does not claw back completed sales: orders already placed, produced, or in production will be fulfilled, and the Creator Share on those sales remains payable.
Except for the limited exhibition rights needed to display Works in the Marketplace and the license granted by an active Merch Consent, PUNICODEX claims no rights in any Work. Creators remain free to exhibit, license, and sell their Works elsewhere — the Merch Consent license is non-exclusive.
For each sale of a Product bearing a Work with active Merch Consent, the Net Margin is split equally: 50% to the Creator (the Creator Share) and 50% to PUNICODEX.
| Component | Treatment |
|---|---|
| Gross sale price received for the Product | Included |
| Shipping charges and taxes/duties collected | Excluded from the base |
| Fulfilment partner base production cost | Deducted |
| Payment processing fees on the transaction | Deducted |
Example: A hoodie sells for $38.00. The fulfilment partner's base cost is $21.50 and payment processing fees are $1.40. Net Margin = $38.00 − $21.50 − $1.40 = $15.10. The Creator Share is $7.55 and PUNICODEX retains $7.55.
In the current phase of the program, Creator Share payouts accrue to the Creator's institution account as university credit, administered through the Sponsored Institution. Direct payouts to Creators are planned for a later phase; these Terms will be updated, with notice, when direct payouts launch.
Accrued and settled earnings are visible to the Creator at all times on the creator dashboard, including per-Work and per-sale breakdowns of Net Margin and Creator Share.
Creators (or their institutions, as administrators of the credit) are responsible for any tax obligations arising from Creator Share earnings in their jurisdiction. PUNICODEX does not provide tax advice.
By uploading a Work, the Creator represents and warrants that:
Breach of these warranties may result in immediate delisting, account suspension, and withholding of Creator Share attributable to the affected Works. The Creator is responsible for third-party claims arising from a breach.
A Buyer who purchases a Digital License receives a single-use, non-transferable license to the unwatermarked original file of the Work, for the Buyer's own personal or educational use only (for example: study, reference, classroom presentation, or personal display).
Buyers may not:
Copyright in the Work remains with the Creator at all times. A Digital License conveys no ownership.
Physical Products bearing Works are made to order and sold through the Reliquary. All purchases of physical merchandise — including payment, shipping, the all-sales-final policy, and defect remedies — are governed by the Reliquary Sale Terms, not by the buyer-license provisions of these Terms.
A Creator may withdraw Merch Consent for any Work at any time (Section 4.3) and may request removal of their Works and closure of their account. Accrued, unpaid Creator Share earned before withdrawal remains payable through the institution account.
PUNICODEX may suspend or terminate a Creator account where the Creator breaches these Terms (including the warranties in Section 6), where a credible third-party infringement claim is received, or where institutional verification lapses and is not restored.
On termination, the Creator's Works are delisted and new sales stop within a commercially reasonable period. Creator Share accrued on completed sales up to the effective date of termination remains payable, except where withheld for breach of the Section 6 warranties.
The Marketplace is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, PUNICODEX's total liability to any Creator or Buyer shall not exceed the amounts payable to that Creator, or paid by that Buyer, in the 90 days preceding the claim. PUNICODEX is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for acts or omissions of Sponsored Institutions administering allowlists, guardian consent, or university-credit payouts. Nothing in this Section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
PUNICODEX may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes (for example, to the revenue split or payout mechanism) will be notified to active Creators by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued listing of Works after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at punicodex.com/terms/creatives/.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA). Each party bears its own costs.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before uploading a Work, every Creator must explicitly agree to these Creative Marketplace Terms. Granting Merch Consent for a Work is a separate, additional opt-in and is never bundled with acceptance of these Terms.
