The Myth at Work
The Deified Emperor Ōjin. Emperor Ōjin, the 15th emperor, was posthumously worshipped as Hachiman after his death in the 4th century. The Kojiki and Nihon Shoki describe his mother, Empress Jingū, conquering Korea while pregnant with him; he was born on campaign and grew into a ruler who promoted Korean culture and technology. — remember the shape of that act.
