The Myth at Work
The Titan Brothers. Epimētheus and Promētheus are sons of the Titan Iapetos and the Oceanid Klymenē. While Promētheus shapes humanity from clay and steals fire for mortals, Epimētheus distributes qualities among the animals and leaves human beings naked and unprotected — a double act of unequal cunning. — that is not just a story. It is a business model, four thousand years early.
The Gift of Pandora. After Promētheus deceives Zeús at Mekonē, the king of the gods fashions Pandora as a "beautiful evil" and sends her with a jar to Epimētheus.
