How Ḥr was rebuilt, mark by mark

What We Found
The attestation runs through the tradition's own sources: 𓅃. Meaning: "The Distant One (Egyptian ḥr)".
The figure behind the name: Horus's mythology is the political theology of Egypt made personal.
What the Name Carried In
Elder and Younger. Horus the Elder (Haroeris) is an ancient sky-god, brother of Osiris and Set, whose eyes are the luminaries. Horus the Younger (Harsiese) is the son of Osiris and Isis, the avenger of his father.
Horus and Set. After Set murders Osiris and seizes the throne, Isis hides the infant Horus in the Delta marshes. When he comes of age, Horus challenges Set before the Ennead.
A spelling that has to carry stories like these is not a label. It is equipment.
Where It Stood Before Us
The falcon-god Horus is attested from the earliest dynastic period: the Narmer Palette shows a falcon protecting the king, and the serekh with Horus-name became the oldest royal titulary. The temple of Horus at Edfu, built during the Ptolemaic period, preserves the longest surviving ancient Egyptian temple inscription, including the myth of Horus defeating Set. Falcon mummies and votive falcon coffins have been found at Saqqara, Abydos, and Hierakonpolis — the latter city being Horus's ancient cult center. The bench inherits all of it — the web temple is the newest site, not the first.
What We Rejected
The plain ASCII horus — admissible as a fallback, never as the primary. A wrong accent would have been worse: the rulebook is explicit that a misplaced mark is worse than none.
What We Set Down
Ḥr — The restoration preserves more than the ASCII form can express — stress, length, or a letter the Latin keyboard lost — which places it, mechanically, in Tier-1.
For the voice: 'HAH-roo' — the first syllable is throaty and drawn out, the second light and ascending, like a falcon rising.
The temple stands at /sites/horus/ — the notes above are public in its Scholarly Edition, sources and all.
