The Myth at Work
The Creation of the Islands. Standing on the Floating Bridge of Heaven, Izanagi and Izanami lowered the jeweled spear into the formless ocean. When they lifted it, brine dripped from the tip and congealed into the island of Onogoroshima. — that is not just a story. It is a business model, four thousand years early.
The Birth and Death of Izanami. As Izanami gave birth to the fire god Kagutsuchi, she was burned so badly that she died. Izanagi pursued her to Yomi, the underworld, and asked her to return. — remember the shape of that act. You will see it again, wearing a logo.
