How Ḥkꜣ was rebuilt, mark by mark

What We Found
The attestation runs through the tradition's own sources: 𓎛𓂓𓏛. Meaning: "Magic, first work".
The figure behind the name: Heka appears in the oldest strata of Egyptian theology as a force rather than a character.
What the Name Carried In
Coffin Texts Spell 261. In Coffin Texts Spell 261, Heka declares: 'I am he who came into being as Heka; I am the son of Atum… before the gods came into being, I was. ' This is not mere boasting.
Heka in the Circuit of Re. Heka is said to travel in the sun-god's bark, repelling the chaos-serpent Apopis and defending the ordered cosmos. The 'Book of Overthrowing Apopis' records rituals in which wax images of the enemy are bound, burned, and spat upon — acts of state heka performed daily in temples to ensure that the sun rises.
A spelling that has to carry stories like these is not a label. It is equipment.
Where It Stood Before Us
Ritual implements of heka include execration figurines and inscribed bowls from Saqqara and Mirgissa, bound and broken to neutralize enemies. The Harris Magical Papyrus (British Museum EA 10042) and the Leyden Papyrus preserve heka-spells for protection and healing. Magical wands and ivory clappers inscribed with protective figures come from Middle Kingdom tombs at Lisht and Haraga. Temple reliefs at Karnak and Edfu depict the daily ritual 'Book of Overthrowing Apopis'. The bench inherits all of it — the web temple is the newest site, not the first.
What We Rejected
heka as the primary form. It survives as the convenience it is; it does not get to lead. The hierarchy is full restoration first, and this name can afford to stand at the top of it.
What We Set Down
Ḥkꜣ — What survives here cannot be shown in ASCII: a feature of the original that the fallback alphabet flattens. That is the Tier-1 test, and this name passes it without argument.
For the voice: 'heh-KAH' — start with a strong, throaty h, then a sharp ka held slightly longer at the end.
The temple stands at /sites/heka/ — the notes above are public in its Scholarly Edition, sources and all.
