Spoken, the name runs `/aɪ.tʰɛ́ːr/` — 'EYE-thair' — the diphthong is bright, the second syllable long and held like a held breath.

The restored name is not a plaque; it is an address. The temple of Aithḗr lives at /sites/aither/, with its mythology in the lore halls, its peer-reviewed record in the Scholarly Edition, and its place in the pattern atlas on the patterns floor.
The restoration preserves more than the ASCII form can express — stress, length, or a letter the Latin keyboard lost — which places it, mechanically, in Tier-1.
Where the Name Stood First
Aither's cosmological role is anchored by the Derveni Papyrus (Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, ca. 340 BCE), an Orphic theogonical commentary that names Aither among the first principles. Orphic gold tablets from Thurii and Petelia invoke the 'breath of Aither' and the dwelling of the blessed. Vase paintings of the fifth and fourth centuries BCE occasionally personify Aither as a winged figure or as the bright upper air surrounding celestial gods. The temple on the web is the newest of these addresses — the first one that fits in a pocket.
