The Test
Seat 1: Leadership, Governance & Public Administration
Claim: Math fab Mathonwy — the king of Gwynedd whose geas bends an entire branch of the Mabinogi. Exhibit: The Geas of the Footholder — Math son of Mathonwy was lord over Gwynedd, and the tale's first fact about him is the condition of his life: except when the turmoil of war prevented it, he could not live unless his feet lay in the lap of a virgin.
Verdict: stands. Strip both to their function and the functions match.
Seat 2: History, Archives & Records
Claim: The Fourth Branch's still center — the uncle around whom Gwydion's plots turn. Exhibit: The War for the Swine — Pryderi of Dyfed held the hobeu, the swine sent him from Annwfn by its king Arawn — the first pigs ever brought to Wales.
Verdict: survives scrutiny. The myth and the trade do the same work.
Seat 3: Legal, Justice & Compliance
Claim: A virgin's lap for his feet — kingship conditioned on a law stranger than fiction, and honored. Exhibit: The Queen and the Three Skins — Goewin would not hide what had been done to her, and Math's first act was redress: he took her as his wife and made her queen, so that the disgrace should not fall on her.
Verdict: holds under load. The correspondence is functional, not decorative.
The Control Group
Against the seats that survived, one control: the temple's own summary of its figure — Math fab Mathonwy is the king at the still centre of the Fourth Branch of the Mabinogi — the branch that bears his name: lord of Gwynedd, master of the magic wand, uncle of Gwydion and Gilfaethwy. The seats do not drift far from it. That is the audit's cleanest result.
The Method, Stated Plainly
The atlas is not a horoscope. Seats are earned from the sources — argued, weighted, published — and every one of them can be challenged at the methodology page. A match that cannot survive an argument does not survive review. That is the whole trick: the patterns are claims, and claims can be tested.
