Verdict: survives scrutiny. The myth and the trade do the same work.
Seat 2: Timekeeping & Calendar Systems
Claim: The thread’s measure; the calendar of a life. Exhibit: Méleagros and the Brand — Seven days after Méleagros' birth the Moirai appeared to his mother Althaia and declared the child would live only until the log then burning on her hearth was consumed.
Verdict: stands. Strip both to their function and the functions match.
Seat 3: Legal, Justice & Compliance
Claim: The verdict that cannot be appealed; finality personified. Exhibit: The Future on the Spindle — In the Myth of Er that closes Plato's Republic, the souls see the spindle of Anánkē, Necessity, around which all the spheres of heaven turn.
Verdict: stands. Strip both to their function and the functions match.
The Control Group
Against the seats that survived, one control: the temple's own summary of its figure — Hesiod names her with her sisters in the Theogony: Klōthṓ, Láchesis, and Átropos, "who give mortals good and evil. The seats do not drift far from it. That is the audit's cleanest result.
