Claim: The serpent of Delphi gave its name to the world’s most-used programming language. Exhibit: Birth from the Deluge — After Zeus destroyed the earth with a flood, the world was covered in slime.
Verdict: survives scrutiny. The myth and the trade do the same work.
Seat 2: AI, Data & Predictive Intelligence
Claim: The oracle’s serpent — and the language the AI industry runs on. Exhibit: The Slaying of the Serpent — Apollo, only four days old in some accounts, travelled to Delphi seeking a place for his oracle.
Verdict: stands. Strip both to their function and the functions match.
Seat 3: Astrology, Tarot & Esoteric Services
Claim: Her prophetic power passed to the Pythia on the tripod; divination is her inheritance. Exhibit: The Pythia and the Tripod — After Pýthōn's death, her prophetic power passed to the Pythia, a woman seated on a tripod above the sacred fissure.
Verdict: stands. Strip both to their function and the functions match.
Seat 4: Sports, Fitness & Competition
Claim: The Pythian Games at Delphi were founded on her defeat; the stadium is her memorial. Exhibit: Birth from the Deluge — After Zeus destroyed the earth with a flood, the world was covered in slime.
Verdict: holds under load. The correspondence is functional, not decorative.
The Control Group
Against the seats that survived, one control: the temple's own summary of its figure — The myth of Pýthōn is the myth of Apollo's coming-of-age: a young god must kill the ancient serpent to claim his prophetic throne. The seats do not drift far from it. That is the audit's cleanest result.
The Method, Stated Plainly
None of this is numerology. A seat exists only where the match can be argued from the deity’s documented domains and deeds — weighted, published, and falsifiable.
