The Test
Seat 1: Wine, Brewing & Hospitality
Claim: The mead of poetry sits in his brother's hall — the door through which Óðinn drank it. Exhibit: The Mead Comes to Hnitbjǫrg — The story begins before Baugi enters it.
Verdict: stands. Strip both to their function and the functions match.
Seat 2: Manufacturing, Craft & Automation
Claim: Nine thralls whetted to death and an auger through the mountain — brute-force process engineering. Exhibit: The Whetstone and the Nine Thralls — Óðinn comes walking to Baugi's land calling himself Bǫlverkr, 'Evil-doer' — a name that is not a disguise so much as an announcement.
Verdict: holds under load. The correspondence is functional, not decorative.
Seat 3: Writing, Publishing & Media
Claim: The mead that makes skalds — stolen through his bore-hole; every poet owes him unwillingly. Exhibit: Nine Men's Work for One Draught — Bǫlverkr makes the offer: he will do the work of nine men through the summer, and his wage is one drink of Suttungr's mead.
Verdict: stands. Strip both to their function and the functions match.
The Control Group
Against the seats that survived, one control: the temple's own summary of its figure — Baugi's entire mythology is one episode, and it is the most consequential single episode in the mythology of poetry: the mead heist of Skáldskaparmál. The seats do not drift far from it. That is the audit's cleanest result.
The Method, Stated Plainly
The atlas is not a horoscope. Seats are earned from the sources — argued, weighted, published — and every one of them can be challenged at the methodology page. A match that cannot survive an argument does not survive review. That is the whole trick: the patterns are claims, and claims can be tested.
