How Pátroklos was rebuilt, mark by mark

What We Found
The attestation, from the canonical record: Πάτροκλος. Meaning: "Father's glory".
The figure behind the name: Patroklos speaks almost nothing in the first half of the Iliad except to serve; when he finally speaks at length — weeping beside the ships — he sets the poem’s whole second movement in motion.
What the Name Carried In
Sent Away from Opus. Before Troy, Patroklos was an exile. As a boy in Opus he killed a companion, Klysonymos son of Amphidamas, in a quarrel over a game of knuckle-bones, and his father Menoitios sent him away to Phoinix, who in turn sent him on to Peleus at Phthia (Homer, Iliad 23.
Machaon’s Student. Wounded men keep finding Patroklos. When the Achaean healers fall one after another, Eurypylus limps to Achilles’ hut with an arrow in his thigh, and it is Patroklos who eases him down, cuts out the barbed point, and bathes the wound with warm water — the gentle hands Homer says he learned from Achilles, who learned them from Cheiron the centaur (Homer, Iliad 11.
A spelling that has to carry stories like these is not a label. It is equipment.
Where It Stood Before Us
Patroklos’s witnesses are text and vase, not temple. Strabo (Geography 13.1.28) records the great barrows of the Troad — Achilles, Patroklos, Antilochos — near Sigeion by the Hellespont, on ground modern survey associates with the Besik Bay anchorage used by the Bronze-Age expedition. In art, the fight over his body was a favourite of early painters: the François Vase (Kleitias, c. 570 BCE, Florence) already arranges the funeral games of Patroklos around the golden jar, and black- and red-figure painters of the sixth and fifth centuries return again to the moment Ajax carries the corpse out of the rain of missiles. The gold-and-urn burial Homer describes matches Late Bronze Age bier-and-ossuary practice from the Mycenaean world — the poem’s material memory outliving any single grave. The bench inherits all of it — the web temple is the newest site, not the first.

The evidence, mark by mark — 1 feature the keyboard form patroclus cannot hold:

What We Rejected
The plain ASCII patroclus — admissible as a fallback, never as the primary. A wrong accent would have been worse: the rulebook is explicit that a misplaced mark is worse than none.
What We Set Down
Pátroklos — The restoration keeps one feature the ASCII form drops. One is enough to matter, and the label says so plainly: Tier-2.
For the voice: say "patroclus" with the stress and length implied by the scholarly restoration "Patroklos".
The temple stands at /patroclus/ — the notes above are public in its Scholarly Edition, sources and all.
