What We Found
The attestation, from the canonical record: Πάτροκλος. Meaning: "Father's glory".

What the Name Carried In
Origins. Patroklos appears in greek tradition as warrior, companion of achilles. The name's meaning, "Father's glory", shapes the narratives told about this figure.
Worship and Memory. Devotees and later tradition-keepers preserved Patroklos in ritual, text, and iconography, ensuring the name survived into the modern scholarly record.
A spelling that has to carry stories like these is not a label. It is equipment.
What We Rejected
The plain ASCII patroclus — admissible as a fallback, never as the primary. A wrong accent would have been worse: the rulebook is explicit that a misplaced mark is worse than none.
