Seat 1: Freshwater & Hydrology
Claim: Lahamu is born from the mingling of Apsû's freshwater abyss and Tiāmat's salt sea; she is the first personal form to arise from primordial water, making freshwater and hydrology her primary modern resonance. Exhibit: Birth from the Waters — The Babylonian Enuma Elish opens with the primordial pair: 'When on high the heaven had not been named, and below the earth had not been called by name — Apsû, the primeval, and Tiāmat, she who gave birth to them all, had mixed their waters together.
Verdict: stands. Strip both to their function and the functions match.
Seat 2: Education, Research & Knowledge
Claim: Her significance is almost entirely cosmogonical and textual; every study of the Enuma Elish and Mesopotamian religion must begin with Lahamu and Lahmu. Exhibit: The First Divine Pair — Lahamu is the feminine counterpart of Lahmu.

Claim: The primordial waters that produce Lahamu are the cosmic ocean before sky and earth were separated; shipping and ocean industries still traverse the descendants of that first sea.
